Driven by the absence of images of algae and their representation in Portuguese culture, the installation Towards a Collective Imaginary seeks to return visibility and a sense of wonder to these forms of life. Through botanical drawings and the invocation of a shared ancestry with red algae, the pieces bring the potential to create emotional relationships, recovering part of a story that has not yet been told in its entirety.
